Journal Entries: students continue making journal entries (good, bad, and the not so good comments pertaining to their daily lives). Students are only required to record two times per week in their journals; however, if you want extra-credit then you can write more.

QFT (1 of 9): Throughout China’s history, the emperors appointed different types of people to help them govern. People were chosen from the wealthy members of society, called aristocrats; scholar-officials were chosen (especially those trained in Confucian thought), appointed foreigners (qualified or not), and finally ‘friends’ of the emperor. What do you think is the best method for selecting potential candidates to ‘govern’ society? Why?
