Today’s Agenda: Class work . . . Day 178
TWPS (Bonus): In his book, “The Prince,” Florentine statesman, historian, and diplomat, Niccolo Machiavelli discussed how leaders should govern. He advised leaders to make their states strong by doing what worked best including lying rather than being moral or good. He thought rulers were better off feared rather than loved. What do you think? Are schools better serve by an autocratic, no nonsense administrator that will do whatever it takes for the betterment of the school or is your preference for a moderate, easygoing, friendly, and approachable administrator like the one we have here at Korematsu? Should the ends justify the means? . . . 6 minutes.
TFT (Bonus): A man can smile and smile and smile and still be a villain.”—William Shakespeare . . . 5 minutes.
QFT (Bonus): Copernicus’s theory on planetary motion faced strong opposition by certain leaders of his day. What scientific theory today that is widely accepted is facing strong opposition by certain leaders? Why? Do you think the opposition will come around like that they during Copernicus’ time? Why or why not? . . . 6 minutes.
